Well as it turns out I just can't stay in one place for too long. I have now been back home for less than two months and spend pretty much all of my time working out how to get away again. I knew I couldn't stand working in an office but I also need to work somewhere because of money, the best solution would be a job where I would get around and see places while still working. During my trip around the world I met fellow photographers who told my about jobs on cruise ships, so that's what I tried to get as well. I applied at different cruise companies and went to interviews in Hamburg and Stuttgart. That's where I had to prove I knew how to take photos, speak English or am able to travel an extended period. A few days ago I eventually got lucky. I got a call from Aida, the largest German cruise ship company, asking if I was free to go on a ship on short notice. Of course I said yes and next week I'll be in Rostock for basic safety training and in two weeks I will be on a ship.
I'll be cruising the Baltic Sea and parts of the North Sea as the on-board photographer till October. While it might not be anywhere as exotic as the places I visit on my trip these are still destinations I have never been to and I'm looking forward to visiting them and taking even more countries off the list. The countries I'm going to see are: Norway, Sweden, Finnland, Denmark, Estonia and Russia. I believe it's going to be amazing. As all of this was on really short notice I still have a lot of things to do and organize so I can get on the ship in two weeks. I just wanted to give you all a quick update as to what I have been up to those last couple of weeks and of course what you can all look forward to. I'll be posting updates from my time onboard and about the cities I visit along the way, of course this time there won't be daily updates but I'll do my best to keep them fairly regularly. Have a nice weekend and I'll be back with more soon.
