Picture of the Day 09.01.2016
Today was my last day in the Bay of Islands region in the north of New Zealand. The first stop of the day was also the best one in terms of photography and I finally got another reason to use the tripod I'm carrying around the world. There were three different spots from which you could view the falls, the top, the middle and the pool in the bottom you see here. Well to get this particular spot I had to climb down some really slippery rocks but it was worth it. Later we stop at some hot springs, really relaxing although the whole place had a bit of a Mad Max-feel to it. Oh and I also saw the "Lord of the Forest", the oldest tree in New Zealand and really a gigantic sight. I had three great days up there and I definitely recommend to everyone to go there and explore it themselves. I did the trip with amazing "Haka Tours", a great company that made for a really fun trip. Check them out if you want to travel here.
