Picture of the Day 12.10.2015
I don't like Bangkok. It's just dirty and big and made to rip off tourists. There are just way too of them here resulting in almost every local you meet trying to scam you in some way. The street vendors charge way to much for their goods, taxi-drivers always wanting way to much for the trip or even worse the TukTuk-Drivers (I don't believe you will ever find an honest TukTuk, just don't use them ever) and the worst being if you ask someone for the way instead of giving you the information they send you to some friend who tries to sell you overpriced shit. I'm so fed up with all those people. The Highlight was that there were signs inside of the Wat Pho temple warning of pickpockets. I can understand thieves hanging around outside of tourist-attractions but inside a closed of temple with entrance-control? Come on! I am a 100 percent certain the vast majority of Thai people are honest and nice persons and I would like to meet more of them but unfortunately most of the people you get in contact with as a visitor are absolute arseholes.
But for something more fun: How do you recognize the backpacker in Thailand? Well the all dress so individually equal. You start with the baggy pants with an elephant print than take a Chang-Beer shirt, sleeveless and lowcut of course, and finish it of with some handmade traditional colorful shoulder bag to contain your nice credit-card. Oh and if you are the real 3-week-unbelievably-adventurous-backpack-trip-to-Thailand guy you definitely have to go for the dreads. Haha ok but it's just crazy how many "alternative" backpackers are here in Bangkok. OK it's all very developed and easy to get along but from what I've seen so far Vietnam was a lot better to travel. Well let's wait till I finally get out of this crappy city of Bangkok.
