Picture of the Day 28.01.2016
I spent the day exploring the far south of New Zealand which also happens to be the windiest part of the country and you can feel that. The fact that you get almost blown over most of the time and the general landscape really reminded me of Ireland. Except that everything is a lot bigger. Oh and there are sea-lions which is pretty cool. There are only a few but you can get pretty close for some actual close picture for a change. Although the most important event of the day happened right before I reached Queenstown: The sun came out! What a great sight after all those days in the rain. Because the bus couldn't stop along the way I had to wait till we reached the town and checked into the hostel to take any photos. I just dropped my backpack and ran down to the lake with my camera, I forgot my tripod but the result is still presentable. Let's hope the weather stays that way.
