Picture of the Day 31.12.2015
First of all: Yes these are fireworks in Sydney and No these are not THE Sydney fireworks. These pictures were taken last Saturday in Darling Harbour where there are fireworks every week just because it is weekend. I took those photos because I want too celebrate my New Years Eve here with actual people and alcohol and not alone with my camera. The city is crazy full anyways and I would have to basically wait at some park the whole day just to get a chance for a photo. Well fireworks always look nice whenever they are taken and since it's the last post of the year I decided to show two photos at the same time.
But let's talk about the last year. It has been quite a successful year: I had my first gallery exhibition, finished university and then sold all my stuff and started traveling. One of the best decisions ever! Talking about traveling, I have officially visited 15 different countries this year, everyone except Italy countries I've never been before YAY! And I have the next 4 countries for the next year planned and who knows what will happen after I return back home in April? There is definitely a lot to come next year. By the way this website is now also officially one year old, it went online New Years Eve 2014. It has been great to have this platform to share my photos and more importantly my experiences during my travels with everyone. Although it has been more work than expected to keep this blog up to date while being on the road. There very many nights were I would have rather went to sleep after a long day than looking at pictures. But it was always worth it plus it is the only way I can handle the loads of pictures I'm taking every day. I have now taken about 20.000 photos since I started traveling 4 months ago. Well I guess one of my new years resolution has to be to do something meaningful with all of them.
I'm now heading to the Sydney Harbour to celebrate the night by getting drunk and eventually watching the first and greatest fireworks in the world. It's going to be legendary! Hope you all have an awesome night and a great new year 2016!
